How to find a private fund's administrator or auditor

Find the administrator or auditor reported for a hedge fund or other private fund: read Q23 and Q26 in its adviser's Form ADV and note the filing date.

The method in brief

  1. The reported auditor is in Q23(b), and the administrator is in Q26(b), of the fund's Schedule D, Section 7.B.(1), in its adviser's Form ADV.
  2. Match the fund and reporting adviser first. Record the provider, question and filing date; distinguish a blank from an explicit No.
  3. For example, Mara River Special Opportunities Fund LP reported BDO USA LLP as auditor and NAV Consulting, Inc as administrator in the July 15, 2026 filing.
